THE WORLD OF EDUCATION

Education [ej-oo-key-shuh n] can be describe as the act (process) of imparting, acquiring general or particular knowledge and skills, developing the powers of reasoning and judgment, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for problem solving.

Learning is a process and takes place in every person’s life. In our daily life activity one becomes a teacher at a point and same time a learner. Learning takes place in the head where it is invisible and becomes visionary when an idea from learning discovers a new concept or builds on a concept.

In fields of study such as Anthropology, literature and Political science certain topics address questions like “How familiar are we with important names, events and places?”

Also in studies of Psychology and Sociology it builds on questions such as “How are learners applying knowledge and skills learned or acquired at home, class, work place, etc.?

If learning is a process then answers should be given to questions such as:

(a)   “How and how well are learners (individuals and organizations), using a new learning approach to build on mastered concepts and principles?”

(b)   “To what extent are learners aware of the steps they go through in solving problems and how well can we explain our problem-solving steps (in our daily mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering, etc.)?”

Let’s look no further thinking and asking ourselves more questions.
