GHANA ARMED FORCES RECRUITMENT 2016(Air Force Requirements)
Apart from the General Eligibility , candidate or applicant should have below mentioned special requirement :
AIR FORCE CANDIDATES
1. Administration Branch:
(i) Air Force Police
·
In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have 6
credits (not less than C6) at WASSCE including English and Mathematics.
(ii) General Duties Clerk
In
addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have any of the following:
·
6 credits (not less than C6) at WASSCE including English and
Mathematics;
·
RSA Stage III in Secretarial Duties and credit in Typing.
·
Typist Grade I and II Certificate from Government Secretarial
School
·
Stenographer Grade II Certificate
·
DBS (Secretarial Option).
(iii) Bandsmen
In
addition to General Eligibility applicants must have 6 credits (not less than
grade C6) at WASSCE including English and Mathematics and any of the following:
·
Ability to sight-read musical notes.
·
Ability to play Woodwind or Brass instruments.
·
Proficiency in Basic Music (ABRSM) Grade 4 Theory will be an added
advantage.
(iv) General Duties
·
In addition to General Eligibility applicants must have 6 credits
(not less than C6) at WASSCE including English and Mathematics.
(v) Hospitality & Catering Management
In
addition to General Eligibility applicants must have any of the following:
·
6 credits (not less than C6) at WASSCE (Home Economics Option)
including English and Mathematics.
·
Ghana Education Service (GES) Intermediate Certificate in
Hospitality and Catering Management.
·
(c) Ghana Education Service
(GES) or COTVET Certificate II in Hospitality
and Catering Management.
2. Supply
Branch:
(i) Storeman/Supplier
In
addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have any of the following:
·
6 credits (not less than C6) at WASSCE (Business Option) including
English and Mathematics.
·
City and Guilds or GES certificate in storekeeping/purchasing and
supply.
In
addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have:
·
Ghana Education Service (GES) Intermediate Certificate in any of
the above.
·
Ghana Education Service (GES) or COTVET Certificate II in any of
the above
3. Engineering
Branch:
(i) Airframe, Engines, Radio, Electronic,
Instruments, Photo and Armament Trades
In addition to the General Eligibility applicants
must have any of the following:
·
6 credits (not less than C6) at WASSCE (Science or Technical
Option) including English and Mathematics
·
City and Guilds or GES Certificate electronics.
(ii) Plumbers/Masons/Welders/Machinist/Carpenters/Refrigeration
·
In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have Ghana
Education Service (GES) or City and Guilds Intermediate Certificate in the
related field.
(iii) Safety and Surface
- In addition to the General Eligibility all applicants must have 6 credits at WASSCE including English, Mathematics and credit in Graphics and Design or Fine Art.
(iv) Vehicle Mechanic
·
In addition to the General Eligibility all applicants must have
City and Guilds Intermediate or GES Technical Examination Unit Certificate in
Auto Mechanics /Auto Electrician plus a Professional Driver’s Licence of
minimum class C.
4. Air
Branch:
(i) Air Traffic Controller/Operations Clerks
·
In addition to General Eligibility applicants must have 6 credits
(not less than C6) at WASSCE including English, Mathematics and Integrated
Science.
(ii) Aero Firemen
·
In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have 6
credits (not less than C6) at WASSCE, including Mathematics and English plus a
driving licence class D.
5. Medical
Corps:
·
In addition to the General Eligibility applicants must have credit
in English and Mathematics (not less than grade C6) at WASSCE and any of the
following from accredited institutions:
(i) Nurses –
Diploma: Registered General Nurse (RGN). Certificate: Health Assistants
(Clinical)/Community Health.
(ii) Laboratory Technicians – Diploma in Medical
Laboratory Technology.
(iii) Laboratory
Assistants – Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology.
(iv) Dispensing Technicians – HND Dispensing/
Pharmacy Technology.
(v) X-Ray Technicians – Diploma in Radiography.
(vi) Dental
Surgery Assistants – Diploma/Certificate in Dental Surgery Assistance.
(vii) Dental
Technicians – Diploma in Dental Technology
(viii) Environmental
Health Officers – Diploma in Environmental Health and Sanitation.
(ix) Environmental Health Assistants – Certificate
in Environmental Health and Sanitation.
(x) Field Technician – Certificate in Community
Health.
(xi) Medical Storemen – HND in Purchasing &
Supply.
